Hello world, Another post today, Even though its kind of late but nevertheless, I must update this blog regularly. This week was full of the dreaded examinations.. Disturbing to a mind of an average Slacking Teenager. Well, unfortunately, i happen to fall under this category (only to a small extend) due to influences from classical slackers such as the Fatuous Jia wei and Bryan.. These two really are "incorrigible" XD. But fortunately, There papers were rather easy (well at least for my case) and there were not much super tricky or complicated questions. Only the Social Studies Exam had a rather short span of 1 half hours. Well, honestly speaking, i was struggling through the last essay question (only had 15 minutes left!!). Compared to other people, i was actually kind of better off. Many people did not manage to complete this monumental task of finishing 4 Source based questions and 2 LONG essays questions.. ah.. Thats just too bad. Life goes on~~ Today was a day of slacking, a day of a carefree mind. This is probably because of the few days of "rest" provided. I stayed at home, played my wii, rock band, psp and some other naught that i cannot recall right now (LOL). Well, this past week was sort of like raining luck. Heavy rain of luck all raining down on my head aggresively; As heavy as todays downpour. Got real lucky during exams.. Now i need take things to my advantage and ace my other examinations. Ok, lets talk about something else, something lighter. Sometimes when i mention the two terms "nerd" and Geek". People have this putative mindset that they have the same meaning- Usually thinking it means a loser at school, or probably a person in school who only studies and does not interact with much students. None of their guesses are correct. Very close, very warm answers, but still wrong. A nerd is usually a term that often refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests that are age inappropriate rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. They would most likely become unpopular due to some misunderstandings due to some of the activities they engage in rather than sociallising with other people. A geek is somewhat different. It often refers to individuals as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, gaming, etc.. In my opinion, a nerd is somewhat better. Geek sounds like an obtuse moron which succumbed to something and got hook on to it, hence causing him to go into a state pof oblivion without even realising. Rather, a nerd is someone who have some special interest of his/her own and wishes to do so even if its "uncool". Well they earn my respect. I have suffered discrimination in my own class once and i know how it feels. Its heartwrenching. It may seem like a innocuous stage for a nerd, but it is actually the bane of a person happiness. Geek is something like they chose they path of getting addicted and only have themselves to blame. Ok thats about it, Some thoughts which i have been pondering over the past two days. Time to go get some more inspiration... Or maybe i just go slack off first and start getting inspiration and revising for my examinations later :) As a Chinese philosopher whose name i cannot recall once said,
A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With One Single Step.
